My Comps: Neutrino Oscillations

My comps paper uses XML/XHTML with MathML. Not all browsers support this. In fact, as far as I know, only Mozilla 1.1+ does (and, of course, browsers using the same backend, such as Netscape, Firefox, etc.), and even then, it may prompt you to install extra fonts so that it can show everything correctly. Konqueror and Opera display the page, but not the formulas. Internet Explorer will not show the page at all. With that in mind, on to the paper itself.

What's "comps", you say? It's what everyone calls Carleton's "Senior Integrative Exercise". For the physics department, it's a 3 month ordeal featuring a paper of up to 7500 words and an hour talk given to the department. A full description is given here (note that it may have changed since I did mine in 2003).
